Dr. Saiid Jawad, Afghanistan’s Ambassador to the United States
November 26th, 2006
It was a pleasure meeting you during my recent trip to Phoenix, Arizona for the Thunderbird Garvin School of International Management
graduation ceremony of Afghan Women entrepreneurs. I thank you for showing your support to their work as they return to Afghanistan to
pursue their passion.
I want to commend you also for the superb job in translating for the women who attended the Thunderbird program.
Toni Meloney, Chair/Bpeace Governing Board

Language is not a barrier to Americans working with Afghans when Farah Arjang is involved. Since 2005, Farah has been the voice that
helps us train and mentor Afghan Businesswomen to accelerate business growth and contribute to economic reconstruction in their country.
For both in-person interpretation, and printed translation, Farah has helped Bpeace deliver professional and culturally appropriate practical
business knowledge that is trusted by us, and by the Afghans we assist.
Kellie Kreiser, Director of Thunderbird for Good

Arjang Translation provided excellent service, above and beyond what I expected. Thunderbird School of Global Management hosted a
very complex program with Afghan women entrepreneurs, and having accurate translation was crucial. Our translator not only was able to
provide long sessions of interpretation, but she was also able to do last minute presentation translations with ease. Even the Ambassador
of Afghanistan who was at the program commented on the exceptional quality of the translation service. I would hire Arjang Translation
again in a heartbeat!

Farah Arjang was an important link between the International Women’s Media Foundation and Shahla Sherkat, a winner of our courage in
Journalism Award from Iran. She made it possible for us to speak with Shahla and to really know her in a personal way. Farah was also
Shahla’s eyes and ears for all her formal presentations. She is a first-rate interpreter. Her participation in the success of our Courage in
Journalism Awards was Crucial.

Since 1994, Farah has provided medical interpretation to mental health patients in our county mental health clinics. We work with dozens of
interpreters in multiple languages and Farah’s interpretation is by far the best. Her language skills are so highly developed that she is able
to provide accurate interpretation of very demanding content. She is responsible, sensitive, and cares deeply about the subjects of her
work. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Athena Katsaros, Governing Board Member, Business Council for Peace

Farah Arjang has been a translator for the Business Council for Peace on several occasions, both in the US and in Afghanistan. Each time
she has shown a tireless enthusiasm and a personal commitment that makes her invaluable. Farah translates and interprets more than
language. She expresses the spirit of the words and the different cultures that she works with. We have also used her company's services,
Arjang Translation Center, for our written materials and have been very pleased with the results. They have translated training and other
documents on a range of topics and have always delivered high quality. As a Governing Board Member of the Business Council for Peace I
consider Farah an important asset to our organization. I highly recommend her services.
Angel Zimmerman, President, Sajan Translation Agency

I would recommend Farah to any organization that might consider her for employment or contract work. I believe she will impress anyone
who has the opportunity to work with her.
Dr. Ruth Larimer, Dean of Education, Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS)
January 23rd, 2006
In addition to the work she did for me, Farah has worked for other departments here at MIIS, work which involved developing materials for
translation and interpretation. I heard from her colleagues that she delivered workshops that were very well received.
